Friendly: Omeruo names one of Nigeria’s best players, laments latest injury

Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo has described his injured teammate, Moses Simon, as one of the best players in the Nigerian team.
Omeruo said this while offering insight into Simon’s injury situation. The Nantes’ winger suffered a damaging injury following Nigeria’s 2-0 defeat to Mali in Marrakech, Morocco on Tuesday.
Simon was presented with an opportunity in the 27th minute to score for Nigeria after being set up by Alex Iwobi but he wasted the opportunity and sustained an injury in the process.

“There’s no information about Moses Simon. They went to the hospital, and we’re hopeful it’s not something serious;” Omeruo said after the game.
“He is one of our best players, and it’s a setback for us.”
